FAQs:
do i need to have any previous experience with the voice to begin this voice journey?
No experience is necessary to begin this journey with the voice. Come as you are; however you are. We will focus on meeting your voice exactly where it is at. All aspects of your process are perfectly on time.
IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR MY DISCOVERY CALL OR FIRST SESSION?
There is nothing specific you need to do to prepare for our consultation call or first session. Just come with an open mind & heart, and you will be received as you are.
are the sessions online or in person?
There is an opportunity for both online and in-person sessions. However, I will always first encourage in-person sessions, if we are able, as the nuances of the voice can be better heard and felt in person than through the phone or computer speakers. The voice also responds well to in-person vibrational frequencies, and can learn to match the coach’s outputs much more effectively when received in person.
how quickly can i expect noticeable results in my voice?
The journey to vocal activation varies from person to person, and is dependent on your own personal goals, openness, willingness, and capacity to integrate the wisdoms and practices shared. Some people notice huge changes in their voice after the first session, some might not notice markable changes until a few sessions in. Your growth and development of your growth is fully dependent on you.
what can i do if i am experiencing old traumas arising in my voice during my vocal activation process?
The voice is a very delicate instrument; impacted by many things; diet, exercise, lifestyle, environment, nervous system dysregulation, stress and tension, limiting beliefs, etc. If you are experiencing traumas arising in your voice, find a close friend or family member you really trust and feel safe with, and ask if they can simply hold space for you to share what’s going on in your voice, without responding or trying to fix the “problems”. If they are open to that, allow yourself to release in a healthy, safe, and compassionate environment. Remember your tools for regulation; connecting to breath, relaxing the body, meditation, rest & relaxation, movement, etc. Journal about how you are feeling. Ask your voice what it would need to begin feeling most safe and most loved. Create a plan for how you are going to provide those things for your voice.
